War of Saints

Public Roadmap

Development Roadmap

Build your character through professions, trade, business, crime, law and politics. Specialise in what you enjoy: you never have to do every part of the economy yourself.

This page shows where the game is heading. For what has actually been released, read the Patch Notes.

In the game

Live now

Everything here is in the game and playable today. Check the Patch Notes for the latest additions.

  1. Careers and city life

Take a job, earn a wage and train your character. Join Night Classes, keep up with your notifications and travel between the active cities.

  2. Professions and crafting

Gather raw materials, refine them and manufacture finished goods, then trade them on the Materials Exchange. Your profession levels are yours for good: changing jobs never resets them.

  3. Trading and shipping between cities

Goods stay in the city where they are stored. When you travel, your materials stay behind, so use Logistics to ship them to another city.

  4. Banking and businesses

Carry cash or keep it in the bank, take out loans, and bid on businesses to own and run your own shop or warehouse.

  5. Crime, law and politics

Commit crimes or bring criminals to justice. Cases move through police investigations, the courts, prison and hospital, while elected mayors set each city's policy.

  6. Clans and profiles

Join a clan, build your public profile and choose your look. Cosmetics only change how your character looks; they give no gameplay advantage.

  7. Journalism

Players working as journalists have their own Journalism desk. A public records section in the Town Hall is planned.

Being built

In development

What we are working on now. These changes are not in the live game yet and may change before they are released.

  1. A cleaner, easier interface

Redesigned profiles, shops, menus and notifications, plus a clearer prison board. These are being tested before release.

  2. Clearer profession guides

Better descriptions for every resource, and profession pages that show exactly which materials and recipes each profession uses. Changes to resources and item quality are still being tested.

  3. Trading, shipping and banking upgrades

Improvements to the Materials Exchange, shipping goods between cities and bank transfers. Each one goes live once it has passed testing.

  4. Investigative journalism

Journalists will be able to investigate stories, publish articles and post to a public news wire. These features are built and are being tested before they go live.

Coming next

Planned

What we plan to build next. Plans and their order may change, and we do not give release dates.

  1. Hunting

A new gathering profession: use weapons to hunt for meat and hides that feed into crafting. Hunting actions and rewards are not available yet.

  2. Cooking

A new crafting profession that turns ingredients into meals. Recipes, and any short-term boosts food might give, are still being designed.

  3. Town Hall Public Records

A section of the Town Hall where anyone can look up public city records, linked to news reporting. Exactly what it will include is still being decided.

Not confirmed

Ideas we are exploring

Ideas we are considering. None of these are confirmed, and nothing here is on sale.

  1. Multi-character accounts and Account Legacy

Play more than one character on a single account. Other players would not see which characters share an account. Some paid cosmetics could be shared between your characters, and free account-wide challenges could earn prestige rewards. Character slots, rewards and any gameplay perks have not been decided.

  2. Legacy Protection

A separate paid idea that would let an heir recover part of a character's mastery progress. It is different from Account Legacy, is not on sale, and would not replace the current succession system.

  3. More professions and world content

Chemistry, more PvE content, recipes that use hides, food boosts and deeper production chains are on hold for now. Tokyo stays closed until a future update.
